“The secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new.”
— Socrates
Dr. Kristin Braun’s work is grounded in the belief that healing begins when individuals feel truly seen, understood, and supported. She views every person as carrying a story shaped by resilience, loss, growth, and meaning. Within that story lies the potential for clarity, purpose, and lasting change. She strives to create a therapeutic space that is steady, compassionate, and nonjudgmental—one in which clients can explore their inner world safely and thoughtfully.
Dr. Braun works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, addiction, personality patterns, and periods of transition or disconnection. Many of her clients feel overwhelmed or uncertain about the direction of their lives. Others appear outwardly successful yet experience an internal sense of dissatisfaction or emotional fatigue. Therapy with Dr. Braun offers an opportunity to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with oneself in a deeper and more intentional way.
Her clinical approach is informed by over seven years of experience across diverse and complex treatment settings, including telehealth, medical and correctional environments, Veterans Affairs, and residential and outpatient programs. This breadth of training allows her to work confidently with both acute and longstanding psychiatric concerns while remaining attuned to the personal, relational, and systemic factors that shape emotional health.
Dr. Braun currently provides virtual therapy to adults across Florida and Michigan. Her work emphasizes thoughtful assessment, individualized treatment planning, and interventions that support both symptom relief and meaningful, sustainable growth. She has extensive experience in crisis intervention and multidisciplinary collaboration, as well as strong training in psychodiagnostic assessment to inform accurate diagnosis and effective treatment direction.
She is particularly drawn to integrating psychological science with existential and meaning-centered perspectives. Dr. Braun has developed and facilitated therapy groups rooted in existential and positive psychology, helping individuals explore values, purpose, and intentional living. She believes that lasting change often emerges not only from developing new coping strategies, but from cultivating deeper self-understanding and alignment with what truly matters.
Her therapeutic framework draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Existential Therapy, Positive Psychology, and Interpersonal Psychotherapy. She approaches therapy as a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, reflection, and honest dialogue. Through this work, clients gain insight into underlying patterns, strengthen adaptive coping, and develop a more grounded and resilient sense of self.
Dr. Braun aims to offer a therapeutic relationship that is warm, steady, and reliable. From the first session forward, her priority is that clients feel heard, respected, and supported, with a
renewed sense of clarity and hope. She believes that meaningful change unfolds through thoughtful exploration, emotional integrity, and a deeper connection to oneself and one's life.
