Supportive Process Group for Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming individuals

This group is meant to serve as a gender affirming, safe, supportive space for transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming adults 18+ in MI or IL. This is a process group designed to focus on participants learning about themselves in relation to others through interactions with other group members. This group is intentionally centered on queer individuals to foster connection and promote reducing isolation within the queer community, especially in areas lacking local trans affirming resources.

What is a Queer Supportive Process Group?

A process group is a less structured group space that focuses on participants learning more about themselves in relation to others in real-time interactions. The purpose of process groups is to help folks gain insight on how they relate to others, based on how they show up in groups. As a supportive queer-centered space, topics such as identity journeys, coping with dysphoria, building safety and support, dealing with discrimination, etc. will be discussed within the process group format. This group is an opportunity to foster real-time connection, and growth; and allow participants to explore vulnerability in a supportive space.
