Becky Cox is a Licensed Professional Counselor affiliated with Psychiatric and Psychological Specialties in Michigan. Becky has experience working with a variety of people from her experience in community mental health, non-profit agency work, and private practice. Becky is also a board-approved supervisor for professional counselors with limited licenses.
Becky has a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Michigan State University where she learned about how people are impacted by social, cultural, and political constructs that surround them during their life. Becky completed her master’s degree in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and has been practicing for over 10 years in a variety of settings. Becky’s approach to counseling includes psychodynamic, existential, cognitive-behavioral, and person-centered treatment through attachment-, trauma-, and DBT- informed lenses. Becky’s unique, tailored approach helps individuals and couples heal from past hurts and improve their interpersonal relationships.
Becky has a kind, collaborative approach to treatment, taking into consideration the uniqueness of every person for setting goals and walking side-by-side through your journey to good mental health.
