Brian S. Mills, Ph.D. is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than twenty years of clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Trained as an eclectic therapist, he is able to draw on a variety of therapeutic modalities and combine them to best meet the needs of each client.
Dr. Mills is currently Associate Professor of Counseling and Department Chair of the Master of Arts in Counseling program at Spring Arbor University in Michigan, where he devotes his time and expertise to teaching, mentoring, and providing clinical supervision for the next generation of counselors. His research interests include the intersection of psychology and popular culture as well as issues of faith in counseling.
Areas of specialization include couples therapy, anxiety and depression, grief, and addictions. As a seminary graduate and former pastor, Dr. Mills is comfortable addressing issues of religion and faith for clients who wish to explore those areas.
