Christina Thomason

Christina C. Thomason is a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker who received a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. This educational experience included completing the Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy program and Trauma Specialization.

Christina is originally from Los Angeles, CA. She has three children, ages 9, 12, and 16. Christina and her family relocated to Southwest Michigan in 2006.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Christina worked on an interdisciplinary team at WMU’s Children’s Trauma Assessment Center for 5 years. This experience has given her a broad perspective of how anxiety, depression and/or trauma affect the mind, body, and soul. Christina values the uniqueness of each patient, understanding how differing mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects will impact the patient needs and style of treatment.

Reaching out for help is a courageous thing to do. Sometimes it only takes a spark of courage to find our next step toward positive changes. Christina is dedicated to identifying patient strengths, and to work alongside each patient to achieve their goals.
