Lisa Davis

Lisa Davis is a Graduate Student Intern who will be receiving her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University in February 2017. She previously attended The University of Michigan and obtained a Bachelor of Science; completing a double major in Psychology and Sociology, as well as a certificate in Women’s Studies.

Lisa values an approach to counseling that focuses on client strengths. She believes in developing a therapeutic relationship in which the client feels safe, accepted, and empowered.

Lisa has over 10 years of work and volunteer experience. She has previously worked as a Family Based Services worker for Child Protective Services and as an advocate for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Lisa has also participated in volunteer work with military service members and their families; leading groups and providing support after casualties. She has completed numerous diversity trainings and enjoys working with clients from different backgrounds.

In her free time, Lisa enjoys the outdoors and photography. She is also the proud mother of a 10 year old daughter.
